The Most Visited Sites on the Web (Well, Sorta)

Certainly, we know Google is smarter than you and they reinforced this today by releasing the very best one particular, 000 most visited sites on the web. Not really much of a surprise that Facebook claims the very best spot, but the amounts are absolutely staggering. visit site

Facebook or myspace. com
Category: Social Sites
Unique Visitors: 540, 1000, 000
Page Views: 570, 000, 000, 000
Reach: 35. 2%

What is even more interesting is how far MySpace has fallen from their control position in the top to bottom only a few years back. They now rank as follows:

MySpace. com
Category: Social Networks
Unique Site visitors: 72, 000, 1000
Webpage Views: 27, 000, 1000, 000
Reach: 4. seven percent

Little Facebook, 7. 5 x more UV every month, who would have ever truly imagined? Slide much? Each Facebook’er uses about 1, 055 PV’s per month. I’ll be the first in range to admit I’ve creeped on earth out of some Facebook profiles but that number is merely crazy.

What is even more noticeable on this list is the absence of the “noodz”. The footnotes do indicate that adult, ad networks, private content sites and pages with load issues weren’t placed. So simply the porno and the networks were stripped here.

I’ll inform ya what, throw the porn in there and they’ll commence to clog up the top 20. Though I can’t imagine whatever will give Facebook something to fear. at this point in time. Take a look in the list and see if you can place the “next one”, just keep in mind that Facebook basically was little or nothing 5 years ago.

Check the list.

The things i also can’t help but notice is that this looks to be an extension of Google’s recent push for increased investment in the Ppc platform. Google has recently been actively promoting the system via regular mail for the past 6-8 months with several mailers hitting my desk this year. Including an indicator to set up if the listed sites feature internet advertising seems like an indirect ploy to increase interest in these locations, many of which are within the Yahoo content network. Just some food for thought, I will leave it there.
